I will help you to understand what makes a strong essay (both for Personal Statements and supplements), help you come up with ideas, and help you edit your drafts until we reach a polished final draft that showcases your best writing.

Whether you’re just beginning 9th grade, or have just a few months left before you start your college applications, we will develop a customized educational plan for you — a road map of academic and extracurricular steps that will help prepare you to be as strong as possible of a candidate for your dream college(s).
College list building

After getting to know your academic background and the qualities that are important to you in a college, I will create an initial list of colleges for you to research. This list will be a mix of Likely, Target, and Reach schools. After you have told me which colleges you liked best (and least) and why, I will revise the list and suggest additional colleges, until we settle on a final, balanced list. This process emphasizes fit, and helps students to identify colleges where they will thrive.
College counseling: grade 12

For grade 12 students, I help them with all aspects of the application process, from building a list to brainstorming essay topics, essay editing, final reviews, and interview prep.
